Understanding Human Complexity

Understanding human complexity requires being able to connect multiple perspectives.

There are countless ways to understand the human being.

We study, compare, and connect different clinical and conceptual models within an ever-evolving atlas — to help open-minded practitioners understand how these different perspectives fit together.

✓ A multidimensional perspective, without simplistic answers or universal protocols.

Structure, Nutrition, Nervous System, Energetics, Psychology…

Each discipline explores a different part of the human experience.

The more we study, the more models we discover — and the harder it becomes to understand human complexity without getting lost between all these different perspectives.

Mapping Human Complexity exists to build an evolving atlas for understanding human complexity.

Human complexity map connecting clinical and conceptual perspectives

INVESTIGATE
We study different techniques, disciplines, teachers, and models for understanding the human being in depth.

MAP
We compare their perspectives, assumptions, common ground, differences, and the possible connections between them.

SHARE
We transform what we learn into articles, videos, and maps to make complex ideas easier to understand and explore.

We do not advocate for a single model. We explore different models and the relationships between them.

Mapping Human Complexity is particularly for practitioners who:

  • have studied multiple methods but struggle to understand how they all fit together;
  • work with complex or chronic problems;
  • are curious and enjoy exploring different disciplines;
  • want to understand the whole person rather than simply accumulate another technique;
  • are comfortable exploring very different traditions and perspectives.

From scientific and clinical models to traditional systems, experiential approaches, and metaphysical frameworks, our goal is not to tell you what you should believe.

Our goal is to understand what each model is attempting to describe, where it fits within a broader map of human complexity, and what may deserve further exploration.
